Yep, a 50 year old man pointed one at me a few years ago, and threatened to shoot me if I didnt get in his car, this happened in a public place so I knew that he wouldnt shoot me, and even if he did Im sure that my fate would of been much worse if I did get in that car so I told him to go ahead and shoot me because there were people watching and he could easily be identified.

Yup.
And Ladybughater did the right thing. There's a bunch of stats on this, but basically, if someone does that, you should run. The odds are they won't shoot (even if it's not crowded), if they do, the odds are you won't get hit, if you get hit the odds are it won't kill you. The odds that you might die if you run are really small (less than a percent if memory serves). If you get in the car the odds are huge that you will be killed. And the odds are even beter that you'll be abused or raped.

I can't even imagine the need to carry a knife for protection. I doubt I'd even be able to use it for it's purpose if I needed to. Never. Never held a gun, never been threatened by one, never even seen a real gun. |

What is a bb gun or a knife gonna do against a shot gun? as for the taser, they have been proven to be fatal especially against people with heart conditions. your best bet Snoopy is to carry mace/pepper spray as that is a substance that will knock em to the ground often causing temporary blindness. It aslo works great on large predatory animals such as large vicious dogs and bears. You should seriously look into that. Also I believe that you must aquire a special licence to possess a taser. |

Pepper spray is not very effective against people who are high (and is also illegal in some states). So I'm not so sure I'd rely on that either. A knife, I agree with Ozarcher, unless you really know how to use one, it's more like to end up getting used against you. A BB gun is just going to tick off your opponent.
