Is it a water-fountain or a bubbler?
Down south, everyone seemed to call it a water-fountain. Being from Massachusetts, I call it a bubbler, always have, always will!

It's always been a water fountain to me. However I think my relatives in Wisconsin call it a bubbler, but I'm not sure.

Yes, look at "ya'll"-- midwest, western, southern, bah. I don't know about chump, though... sheesh... But nobody from Eastern US has answered yet-- there MUST be someone who calls it a bubbler, too... A water fountain is something in a park, for decoration, not for thirst-quenching.

Well, according to the stats practically no on in the Eastern US calls it a bubbler either. I gotta say I've never heard this expression before either.

Another incongruous nickname for mister mellow there... AussieMike, you do? At last! I would call it a water-cooler if it was one of those actual cooler things-- like, a huge bottle of water in an office, that everyone congragates around. The rest of you... *muttermutter*
