My inbow is so clean. I delete everything or file it. And my files are all different. I don't have a lot saved though, I don't use email much.

Any spam is flagged as such, unimportant emails are archived and important emails are read then archived.

I delete irrelevant emails, which is a vast majority of them, and save the ones I might need at a later date.
That being said, I almost never receive an email.

Oh man. My email inbox habits are worse than my cigarette habit.
I have 5 email addresses. (no joke).
A public personal, a public work, and public professional address.
And a private personal and private professional address.
That by itself will already sort the kind of email I get because I'm very particular about who gets what address. But I def need to learn the art of labels and archiving more.
I think if I ever successfully implemented Inbox 0 across all of my addresses I'd cream my pants.

Neither of those... I clear out my spam folder pretty regularly (usually just when I notice a new spam email). Everything else I just keep in the inbox. I star certain important messages until I no longer need them, then unstar them. I seldom delete emails, and never archive them. No need, really. Never know when I wanna look up an old email.
And I have my school email and formal email forward everything to my informal email address, so I only ever have to check one.

I check my email every time my phone alerts me that I have a new one, but it takes me a while before I delete my spam emails.

Delete emails I don't need, clear my spam. I have also created some folders for some email subscriptions which are filed automatically. Yes I am an email nerd.

Gmail is great with controlling spam and it has that show unread first thing so my inbox is very much under control.

I mostly check the main tab. Now that gmail has three tabs (and maybe more I could make?) I focus on the main priority tab, and secondary would be social and Promotions (which is a nice word for "acceptable spam")
Once every few weeks I'll check my Spam to see if anything important is there.

The Important part of gmail is often flawed. It marks things for so many wrong reasons
