I've heard the term before but I guess I never thought to ask what it means until now - what is that?
17 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Wednesday 1/15/03 - 3:09:47 PM EST (GMT-5)
i've never heard that...ever. can someone fill me in?
17 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Thursday 1/16/03 - 12:34:07 PM EST (GMT-5)
i am confused...............
17 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Thursday 1/16/03 - 8:22:02 PM EST (GMT-5)
I don't know what that is.
17 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Thursday 1/16/03 - 9:16:05 PM EST (GMT-5)
OK, for those that don't understand the term, it refers to someone that saw the game, and spends the following day telling others what the team did wrong. They analyse the game, and tell all the faults the players made. Sometimes they believe that they would have played the game better if they were captian, or quarterback, or coach... I despise most forms of sport. I almost never watch any. I could never be accused of being a "Monday-moring quarterback."
17 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Thursday 1/16/03 - 10:57:18 PM EST (GMT-5)
Ahhha! Okay then I'm not one :)
17 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Thursday 1/16/03 - 11:51:21 PM EST (GMT-5)
Of course I am. That's what I love about the talk radio shows on monday morning. Everyone gets to vent about how their team would've won if they were in charge.
17 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Friday 1/17/03 - 3:41:39 AM EST (GMT-5)
Hindsight is 20/20. I don't know how to talk about sports without offering some amateur analysis.
17 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Saturday 1/18/03 - 7:55:12 AM EST (GMT-5)
People, you take this too literally...I meant it in the aspect of second-guessing anyone's actions or thoughts, after the fact. You know, like the Boss who always tells you what you should've done...when it's too damn late to be of any use. THAT sorta thing...
17 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Saturday 1/18/03 - 7:55:49 AM EST (GMT-5)
It's also know as an "armchair critic".
17 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Saturday 1/18/03 - 7:56:17 AM EST (GMT-5)
In that case I'm not, considering I don't watch very much football.
17 yrs ago - Wednesday 1/22/03 - 12:53:47 PM EST (GMT-5)
Why, oh, why!?!?!?! do you all effin' keep bringing FOOTBALL into this? The word "quarterback" is used as a figure of speech in the instance. Clean out yer ears!
17 yrs ago - Wednesday 1/22/03 - 12:55:17 PM EST (GMT-5)
To be blunt: The question refers to the type of people who ALWAYS offer advice on what you SHOULD have done, AFTER the fact/when it's too late to be of help. Do you all get it now? Sheeeeeeeesh.
17 yrs ago - Thursday 2/13/03 - 4:32:05 AM EST (GMT-5)
i don't watch football either, so i dont think I am
17 yrs ago - Thursday 2/13/03 - 4:49:50 AM EST (GMT-5)
Considering I don't watch football.......haha only joking! It's kinda like when you buy something, say a TV, someone will always say, why didn't you say something I could have got that for you at a fraction of the cost. But when you do mention that you're going to buy something there's no mention of discounts.
17 yrs ago - Thursday 2/13/03 - 5:31:20 AM EST (GMT-5)
And that is????
17 yrs ago - Friday 2/14/03 - 7:21:07 PM EST (GMT-5)
I am not like that at all but I know plenty of people who are.
17 yrs ago - Saturday 2/15/03 - 10:08:43 AM EST (GMT-5)
football is gay
17 yrs ago - Wednesday 2/19/03 - 9:22:56 AM EST (GMT-5)

Wednesday, January 22, 2003 12:55:17 PM To be blunt: The question refers to the type of people who ALWAYS offer advice on what you SHOULD have done, AFTER the fact/when it's too late to be of help. Do you all get it now? Sheeeeeeeesh. It has NOTHING to do with football.
16 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 3/24/03 - 1:58:17 PM EST (GMT-5)
and here endeth the responses....
16 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 3/24/03 - 1:59:46 PM EST (GMT-5)
Perhaps I'm a Monday-morning point guard. I don't really watch football but I like basketball.
16 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 3/24/03 - 2:01:24 PM EST (GMT-5)
^^But so Uther doesn't get angry that I've taken this too literally, I am not a Monday-morning quarterback with most other things, be they sports-related or otherwise. I make a good backseat driver though.
16 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 3/24/03 - 2:06:53 PM EST (GMT-5)
I tend to criticize the defense more... so I would be more the 'Monday Morning Linebacker" so to speak...
16 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 3/24/03 - 2:07:32 PM EST (GMT-5)
