the reason my parents sent me to public school from grades K-12 (even if they could easily afford private school) is because they feared i wouldn't meet people from different backgrounds.

I grew up on the internet.
Online you either retreat into your shell and never come out or embrace the madness and enjoy the diversity, given that I've been using this site for 7 years, even with such a small post count it should be evident that I embraced the madness a long time ago.
I don't care what background anyone has. people are people, end of.
