Most songs here are about breaking up with a girlfriend or boyfriend and it does mention drinking and smoking(regular cigarettes) but it doesn't bother me.

Nah, it's a part of our generation. Everyone's so descensitized to violence, sex, drugs, and alcohol.

it's wut the world has come to. I guess that means were just continuing with what were normally doing.
It bothers me, but not enough for me to care. no matter how hard that is for some people to understand.

It doesn't alarm me, really. In every generation, there are rebellious youths who listen to "nasty", allegedly-corrupting music. Popular music today is obviously more explicit than popular music from the 50s, but I think that says more about our society as a whole than the music in particular (i.e. the music is changing in response to society's acceptance of sex and alcohol and the rest; the music isn't changing our attitudes. Even if there is some sort of reciprocal relationship between the two, I think the former is the prime mover).

Nope. The artists can write/sing about whatever they want. If I don't like it, I won't listen to it.

No, I love sex, and am quite fond of alcohol. And what do I care if they sing about drugs?

That's all? I was expecting more.
It doesn't bother me, I either like the song or I don't.

It's sort of frustrating. I was asked to DJ a junior high dance last week, and I had all sorts of trouble finding "appropriate" music to play.
After all, we don't allow the students to speak vulgarity or wear clothing supporting alcohol, drugs, or sex... so we can't very well play music that endorses these things.

It's not as if this is a new thing. What do you think they were singing about in, say, the 60s? The main difference is it's become less subtle.

About 99% of the song I listen to are about drugs, sh*t that happens while on drugs, or heavily influenced by drugs.

If it's just me and my friends listening I'm ok, but today at the rollerskateing place with a ton of little kids in it they played a ton of songs that made me want to cover my five-year-old brother's ears!
