I'd rather have a pug, but they're prone to a lot of expensive health issues. Besides, I love pit bulls best.

I don't think they are any worse than other dogs as far as 'expensive health issues'. Our Pugs had healthy lives- - their only health issues were the 'normal' old age issues (loss of hearing/vision/movement). One lived to be 16, the other 15.

Oh, I know not every single dog is going to have the health issues that are most common in a breed. And that's not to say I wouldn't take a chance on a pug. I just love my pit so much I can't see myself with any other type. And actually, our dog suffered a condition common to her breed, too. I forgot what it was called, but she had a little tumor on her leg that had to be removed. These types of tumors are common among pits.

Glad your pugs have always been healthy!
