No. In terms of family, we were one of the poorest in our neighbourhood. If you mean me myself, I didn't have any money of my own until I was 17 (I never got an allowance or money for chores, and didn't start earning my own til then) |

nah, pretty middle of the road. now that I'm mostly on my own, though, I'm pretty sure I'm better off financially than almost all of my friends. |

I was upper middle class, and back then, that's who your parents had you hang out with, as well. My real friends were mostly upper-lower class. |

No, I'm a middle class white kid in a town where whites are almost entirely upper class. |

No, everyone where I grew up had rich parents. They wouldn't be living there otherwise. |

I was in between, I wasn't poor by any means but I didn't have it all either. |

No, when I was a kid we were piss poor- but I think that probably benefitted me in the long run. |

My father was attending law school when I was younger. By the time I was in junior high he had begun a fairly successful career that seems to continue to grow. It was weird for me. We grew up in my grandparents house while he was attending school and the distinction between that and now, where my little brothers are growing up, often makes me ponder. |

You don't sound that rich, more that you save the money you get every christmas. My grandpa usually gave me $50-100 dollars every christmas but i spent it.

I wasn't richer then my peers, though there were some families worse off than us |

Most of the other kids had dads who worked Union jobs in the steel mills or the mines- - they were probably just as rich or richer for the time we were in grade school. Then the plants started closing and most of them lost their jobs. Then our family was richer. A couple of them never worked again...

i used to be well off. My dad earned $23 an hr and life was good. Then my parents separated & when dad left for NC, he quit paying child support. Thats the only thing I miss about Dad, the money he provided. And his BBQ. |

Well, not myself but my family is still richer than a lot of people in my peer group. However, my parents live below what they make (meaning they have crazy money saved up, dear god) so my whole life I've had a weird experience of feeling like I don't fit in with either people whose parents have the same income or people whose lifestyle is closer to what I'm used to. |
