They have their hockey leagues and we have ours. It's fine as it is with just American and Canadian teams in my opinion.

European Hockey is quite different from Canadian/American Hockey. Though it would be fun to watch, they have two different schools of thought not to mention rules.

Plenty of Europeans find success in the NHL, and presumably if it will be an NHL expansion, they will play by NHL rules.

i just think it'd be difficult. like imagine having to play some Scottish and then immediatley after having to go back to the US to play Colorado...it'd be wicked expensive and time consuming

I imagine that the travel time required to get across the ocean and the jet lag factor would be difficult to work into the schedule...

That could be worked around with extended road trips for teams both sides of the pond.

That might work for a regular season schedule, but wouldn't a playoff series on two continents be rather grueling?
