that's interesting, does 'overpass' ever get said like that in England? I can't imagine it.
I've read that different regions of Australia have quite different patterns of what rhymes with 'gas' and what rhymes with 'arse'. It's not as similar to any one region of England as people might assume.

I can't speak for England, but here in Australia I've only ever heard 'overpass' rhyme with 'arse'.

Both actually. I have a parent from Lancashire and was raised in the South of England, so my dialect is quite inconsistent with some words.

If it rhymes with farce, it can't rhyme with ass you moron. As other people have said, it rhymes with arse, but ass rhymes with gas.
