Clarke only had 2001, but it was still better than anything Asimov did (though, admittingly, more credit should go to Kubrick than Clarke); so I pick Clarke.

I have never been able to read Asimov. 2001 was great, although i never read the book. I cant vote.

tricky, Clarkes stories are better but Asimov always seemed mor intelligent and I like how he came up with the laws of robotics. I think Asimov was the more visionary, but the same could be said of Clarke as well. Hmmmm. I think I'm gonnna hafta go with Clarke, cause 2001, 2010, and 3001 all rocked.

Asimov's best books were the ones that get the least press, like Friday and Puppet Masters. William Gibson is my favourite, though.

Bracchion - Asimov didn't write 'The Puppet Masters' and 'Friday'! That was Heinlein! Getting back to Isaac vs. Arthur - it's funny how my tastes have change with age. In my early teens, I especially liked Asimov's robot short-stories, while I thought Clarke was rather dull...but the older I got, I came to find Asimov rather unreadable (I found his tone rather juvenile-sounding), and I came to appreciate Clarke a lot more (he can still be a bit dry - but then there's clssic stories like 'Venture to The Moon', which is both interesting and quite amusing).

I'm too lazy to figure out what either of them has written...
