Comfort of course! They keep the wrongdoers under control!

I've never felt more comfortable by police presence.

If I'm driving, wariness, which is closer to fear. If I'm at home and they drive by, definitely pure comfort.

there was a little bit of resentment mostly from stories from my father.
it's lessened. maybe sympathetic? not quite respect.
but that's small town perspective where local cops make up reasons to pull people over to fill their quota. definitely respect city cops and think the majority of them are doing an honorable service.

I feel much safer, unless they're driving behind me.

This.
I'm never comfortable if I see police when I'm driving. Otherwise, it's good.
But - I'm am older, white, cis-gendered female. I'm probably the least likely person to have random harassment from the police. If I were a young black gay male, I suspect my reaction to police would be much different.

Fear. I think that just comes from all the stories my dad would tell me.

Neither. They are just people with jobs.
Seems to me the only people that fear the police are either criminals or the willfully ignorant.
