I've had several male roommates over the years and never slept with any of them. Unattractive for one, and for two, didn't want to make things uncomfortable in the house.
I wouldn't assume either way.

I've encountered plenty of roommate situations where both roommates are attractive, but have no interest in sleeping with each other. I think it just really depends on the person.

When I was 19 I went to visit a friend at his Uni who flat shared with three girls.
He'd not had sex with any of them.
In the weekend that I was there, I had sex with two of them. He had sex with the other.

Btw, the way this question is phrased makes it look like the female part has no real say in the matter. A better way would be to ask "If a guy and a girl share a place, do you assume they've slept together?"
