The first 12 seconds of the interview are the most important, if you don't impress them then, you aren't getting the job.

More than the answers I think they are interested in confidence, personality, character. Not always what you say, but how you say it.

Confidence level .I think if you give the correct answer but sound like you think it's wrong... that won't go well.

It depends on the job, probably. Some amount of nervousness is understandable.

Even the highest confidence level cannot make up for stupid/ignorant answers...
8 yrs ago - Monday 11/5/12 - 5:11:26 PM EST (GMT-5)
I don't know... I just hope they're interested in awkward, nervous, people who talk to fast and nervous-laugh a lot.

*too

unless you have a really stupid answer to a question they ask you, i think they care more about your confidence.

Having had only a few job interviews, which typically have lead to a job offer I would have to go with having interesting, thoughtful, intelligent answers (and enough confidence to give them calmly and think on your feet.)

I suppose for a job like coaching kids soccer confidence is more important. For a job requiring some intelligence and cleverness that it not enough.

Evidently, Thinkerbell has never coached soccer or even worked with children...

Ok I just had a job interview where I was confident BUT there's no way my answers would be accurate for a 30 sec time limit. I will let this place know if I am hired LOL

What kind of job are you seeking? They put you on a 30 second time limit for your answers?

They didn't put me on a 30 sec time limit, but I presumed they wanted answers fast. You can't be staring at them or thinking for too long..

OK- - it was thinking for no more than 30 seconds rather than limiting yourself to 30 second answers. That sound better.

8 yrs ago - Tuesday 11/6/12 - 2:05:50 PM EST (GMT-5)
I'd think it's a combination of both.
8 yrs ago - Friday 11/9/12 - 3:06:00 AM EST (GMT-5)
For what I interviewed for, I think they cared about your answers a lot more. I think only jobs that have you interact with the public would care about your confidence.

My answer to every question in a job interview....

I liek chocolat milk
7 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Sunday 12/9/12 - 4:06:16 AM EST (GMT-5)
It depends on the type job you're interviewing for.
