It took me a few times reading it, but I got it too. Maybe work on syntax there?
There will always be folks who wish things were back to the "good old days." It's usually one aspect of the "good old days" they miss, like kids with manners or penny bubble gum. Everything else is typically fine.

Yeah absolutely.
I think it's a very human thing to sometimes look back with rose tinted glasses and think that life was simpler, easier and safer when we were young. Even if it wasn't really like that at all. We're hardwired to forget the bad bits.
People fear change, that has a lot to do with it as well.
I understood this question as soon as I read it, now I'm wondering if I've missed something
