I can buy about a year's worth for around $25 (keep in mind I'm a vegetarian and go through a lot of beans, as they're one of my main protein sources).

About the only ones I do eat are refried beans and if it's something I'm making, I get them in a can. But when my mom makes bean tacos, she makes her own and those are good, too. If I do use beans for something, I'd rather get them in a can though. I can't stand the smell of beans cooking.
