Id only use it if I were in a situation where I couldnt call.
I bet they are going to end up with a ton of people reporting things that dont need to be reported this way. They will end up spending the majority of the time sifting through the irrelevant crap just to get to the one person who is sitting in a closet while theres a burglar outside the closet door.

One time, I was in a situation where a guy pulled out a knife on one of my friends. I was too scared to call the cops, because he also had a little bit of a grudge against me. If I could've texted the police, it would've come in handy.
