Not really. My favorite artists from the 80's were for the most part already active in the 70's. Not that there wasn't tons of good music in the 80's, especially in the '80-'86 period.

Talking Heads is about the only bearable thing that came out of the 80s.. but they're not my anywhere near my top favourites, if that's what you mean.
It's just that production.. ugh..
