It doesn't interest me all that much. But I would like to sit in on my dad's autopsy (assuming he has one). I'm curious to see what his lungs look like. He's been a smoker for about 50 years.

No...I don't need to see anything like that. I don't have the stomach for it.

At least the results are more interesting than the comments.

F*ck yes, that would be so cool. I love dissections.

I think that'd be really interesting. I'd probably gag and puke, but it'd be cool.

I'm sorry, but that is pretty f*cking weird that you want to see someone you love get cut open while they are already dead and you will never see them again. But, whatever.

Yeah... when I say I'd participate, I mean a human I have never seen before in my life. I already can't stand seeing dead people on display at funerals, there'd be no way I could watch their autopsy. Creepy.

Once we die the body is no longer a part of who we are.

It's not something I actively seek out as I'm not terribly interested.
I haven't done a lot of the dissections and cutting myself, but I've poked around in bodies that have already been opened up. I'm always amazed at how frickin' complicated we are on the inside and how much gets packed into such a small space.

That doesn't mean we can't still get emotional looking at an empty body of someone we used to love.

I'm not discounting that more than acceptable reaction. Just remarking at the stance of thinking it perverse or weird for others to be adjusted in a way that they make that distinction.

I've dissected minks, sheep brains, rat brains, and held pre-cut human brains. I'm actually looking forward to the day I get to learn from a full cadaver.

I don't think so, but one never knows what one may do on the spur of a moment.

Yep. I've already seen a full autopsy on video so I wouldn't mind it in person.
