There ain't any in our solar system (except us), but the Universe is a very big place, actually the biggest place there is, so it would be very weird if none of these worlds had life. What a waste!
But Harold, unlike Fox Mulder, I don't think we'll ever meet them; the distances are too great, unless everything we think we think we know about physics & cosmology is dead wrong. |

there may be life within our solar system, even life more intelligent than us...just not in this dimension. |

Of course there's a chance. |

I think there's a lot more than a slight chance. In all the univere I'd say it's a near certainty. |

Do you thinkt there's the slightest chance there's not?

We're not judging you because of your atheism, we're judging you because of our grammar-nazism. |

It's almost common sense to think so. |

aren't you familiar with the concept of a multiverse? Modern physics supports the notion of multiple dimensions, does this not lend credence to those who claim to be in contact with extraterrestrials from other dimensions? |

Where do u think they get all the ideas for movies and videogames. Its not imagination, its conspirisy. And the creator/director people pay big money for the info from the government. Thats why they try to keep the stuff secret, so they can make money off it. |

Considering the size of the universe... I don't think the chances are "slight" |

Misinterpratation of the many-worlds theory always results in hilarity. |

as I don't know how life starts, and what the odds are of it occurring, I really couldn't tell you. it might be that it's such a staggeringly unlikely event that it's only ever happened once, or it could be going on all over the galaxy. I'm really not informed enough to tell you the odds.
I'm not ruling it out though |

There is indeed a theory that multiple universes and dimensions exist. However, part of the definition of that theory is that it is impossible for anything in any one universe/dimension to have any contact with anything in another.

Well, considering the enormous amount of planets and solar systems in the universe, it's vastly more likely that there are other lifeforms existing on other planets than Earth being the only planet capable of supporting life. |

Think about it. Lifeforms are tiny compared to planets, planets tiny compared to stars, stars tiny compared to galaxies and so on. Of course there's life on other planets, just nowhere nearby (we can barely make it to our moon, reaching other star systems is out of the question.) |

I think there is. Its just kind obvious, you know? I mean, if we have life in our world because of the distance between our sun, and the material corps and all that stuff, then why wouldn't there be something similar in another system? I mean, so many systems, so many ways! Why not? |

Well since the universe is so vast I find it pretty unlikely that we're the only ones in it... |
