So these aliens: are they or are they not created in a god's image?

Eh, maybe, it really depends. God sent Jesus to save mankind, but maybe the aliens aren't as screwy as us and didn't need it as much so God didn't send Jesus to go save them. I suppose if they really wanted to Christians would let the aliens be saved.

Or at least try. In all God would make the final decision. Sorry about the extra post.

So did God create Jesus? I thought he was supposed to have created Adam. Or did Adam eventually lead to Jesus? Hang on, isn't God also Jesus? Is there an Adam version for the aliens? I'm confused.

I've often wondered this. What if God created several different worlds all the same, but Earth's Eden was taken away by Adam & Eve's committing of the Original Sin but other planets' inhabitants didn't eat of the Forbidden Fruit? Would they still be in Eden?

I don't see why Aliens would be automatically disqualified from Salvation...
11 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Monday 6/9/08 - 10:50:38 AM EST (GMT-5)
Under the christian idea, aliens might not need to be saved. I'm pretty sure the whole Adam/Eve original sin thing strictly referred to humans.
11 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Monday 6/9/08 - 1:13:09 PM EST (GMT-5)
Not sure, who knows how it would work there in their world.
11 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Monday 6/9/08 - 5:07:05 PM EST (GMT-5)
Maybe they have some form of mechanism whereby there is a conscious and unbiased effort to understand, or to understand better, how the physical world works, with observable physical evidence as the basis of that understanding, perhaps achieved through observation of phenomena, and/or through experimentation that tries to simulate phenomena under controlled conditions. Maybe.

As a Mormon, I do belief that God created others on different people, the LDS church teaches that.

Does God have something against immigrants specifically?

I would suspect that the alian's planet(s) had their own Garden(s) with their own temptation(s).

The Adam and Eve equivilant of some planets probably ate, some probably didn't.
11 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Monday 6/9/08 - 5:18:24 PM EST (GMT-5)
The one's that didn't eat wouldn't need salvation. The ones that ate probably got their own version of Jesus.

But if they wanted to use our version, it should work.

This is, of course, assuming the validity of the whole Christian religion. Something which I don't necessarily assume.

...presuming the planet's environment, atmosphere, and gravitational forces support gardens and the growth of fruit.... possibly people are stretching the genesis story a little too thin here to fit another story?

what aliens?
11 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Sunday 6/29/08 - 11:14:45 PM EST (GMT-5)
I would wounder if the aliens had a religion, and if they did if it made more sense then the ones on earth.
11 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Thursday 7/24/08 - 9:36:48 PM EST (GMT-5)
Ugh, when the day comes that missionaries are trying to convert alien life forms to Christianity, I will lose all my respect for humanity.
