I did this with Sphere, Toys (I think this is what it was called, a Robin Williams Movie) and Lord of the Rings 3 (just got so bored with it after a couple hours).

I don't think I've ever left the theater, but I've rented movies or started watching some on TV then stopped because they were so bad I couldn't take it any more.

I wanted to do that with The Grudge, but I was with a group of friends who actually enjoyed it, and I'd have nowhere to go if I left.

There have been a few that I wanted to, but I feel that since I paid for it, I should just suffer for it.

I did that with the Comebacks like 10 minutes in and got a refund

Yes, Ali. I'm sure some people liked it, but I wasn't one of them.

Movies I have walked out on at the cinema include:
* 'Carry On Colombus' - a dreadfully unfunny comedy that I left after about 30-40 minutes
* 'He Died With A Felafel In His Hand' - ditto
* 'The Shadow' - I left after waking up from a sleep it put me in
* 'Any Given Sunday' - very dull
* 'The Patriot' - a week after 'Any Given Sunday', I walked out on this because it was very stupid; talk about a lousy fortnight of cinema-going

One night we went with my brother and his girlfriend to watch "Frank Miller's Sin City" and we all wanted to leave after 5 minutes but we didn't say anything because we thought that one of us or the other two actually liked the movie...So we stayed and nobody of us liked the movie.

hahahaha i don't think i've ever done this. i'm a sucker for the big screen experience (with popcorn) and the movie's bad, i'll just relax and laugh about it.

this reminded me of when my parents took us kids to a movie and then snuck us into another showing right after. i remember being surprised at how badass they were being. i have a lot of good memories of going to the movies

I thought one hour photo was awful...but i had free tickets so i figured i may as well sit through it and make fun of it the whole time, lol...

it would have to be pretty hellacious for me to walk out especially if i paid to see it....
9 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Friday 2/29/08 - 9:45:26 AM EST (GMT-5)

The only reason I didn't walk out of Battlefield Earth was because we were only 8 in the whole theatre (I was in a group of 5 out of the total 8) and it was crazy hot outside so we stayed for the airconditioning and just talked.

I hate Premonition. I honestly made a mistake of buying it before renting it.

The Eye looks pretty good though. I want to see it.

Never have
9 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Friday 2/29/08 - 11:34:40 AM EST (GMT-5)
Nope. I just suffer it, stoically - and then rip the piss out the movie afterwards.

I've been sorely tempted a few times.

Yes. We walked out on Batman Forever, the one with Jim Carrey as the Joker. He was sort of funny, but the rest of the movie was a drag.

Yes, I believe it was Practical Magic.
9 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Friday 2/29/08 - 7:24:50 PM EST (GMT-5)
Dragon Wars, I almost didn't leave because I was laughing so much at the crapiness!
9 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Friday 2/29/08 - 7:30:08 PM EST (GMT-5)
No, I've never walked out on a movie in the theatre because it was bad, though I have turned them off at home because I couldn't watch anymore (He died with a felafel in his hand was one of them, weird someone also mentioned it). In the theatre I have left because I wasn't in the mood to watch the movie (but this was a double feature and I had already seen one)... usually I'll stay because I've paid and it might get better.
9 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Saturday 3/1/08 - 4:46:28 AM EST (GMT-5)
Crappy low-budget horror movies...
9 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Monday 3/3/08 - 1:58:41 PM EST (GMT-5)
I said 'no', but if I'd paid to watch "Bloodrayne", I probably would have.

Epic movie. That was terrible.
