Well, a wedding if I had to choose, even though I don't like going to either.

Wedding. Rather a happy occasion than sad.

Ummm, a wedding. It seems sick to prefer going to funerals. Who wants their loved ones dead? That's disturbing.

Weddings are usually fun. The ceremonies aren't that bad and then there's the reception. Free food, alcohol, and drunken people, attempting to dance. What's not to love?

Well the funeral doesn't necessarily have to be for a loved one who died. I've gone to funerals to support people I love who lost people they love.

But all in all, I'd much rather go to a wedding.

I've attended 4 funerals and 0 weddings

However my sister's marrying in August and I'm looking forward to that more than any funeral!

But then you are just seeing people you love in pain rather that yourself. It's still awful.

Alright, you got me there. I was just trying to provide an alternative.

I've never been to a funeral, but I love weddings. They always have the best food.

weddings. if you attend a funeral that means that somone you know died.

Wedding of course..
I don't enjoy crying, and they remind me of when my mom died.

who picks the pictures for these questions?
12 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Wednesday 2/13/08 - 7:25:03 PM EST (GMT-5)
I prefer weddings. I don't like funerals...I've been to 3 funerals after losing a friend and some family members. I don't want to lose another person any time soon. That hurts a lot.

Is there a difference between the two? Both ceremonies are for someone who has recently deceased in some form.

Well if you go extremely black and white I suppose there wouldn't be much of a difference. But gray is good.

Weddings of course

I gotta say funerals, aesthetically at least.

I would prefer funerals because of my view that, and this is a quote from "The Fountain", "death is the road to awe." I think that funerals should be more of a celebration of that person's life than a mourning of their passing. I understand it's hard to let go, but the funeral shouldn't be for saying goodbye as much as thanks for a good life
