Nope, but that doesn't mean I don't support them. I can do that without a sticker.

No, I sure don't.

Ditto on that one

12 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Thursday 1/3/08 - 12:54:09 AM EST (GMT-5)
I have one of those yellow magnet ribbons.
12 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Thursday 1/3/08 - 2:22:42 AM EST (GMT-5)
i dont have on, but i agree with the others that said that doesnt mean that i dont support them,

on that topic i saw one that was annoying in particular it said "if you won't stand behind the troops then you can stand in from of them"
it was just really annonying to me for some reason.

Hell no I don't. I don't support war, or people that would sign up to be in one. The only troops I feel sorry for are the ones who signed up after 9/11 thinking they'd help find Osama and the Taliban and instead they are stuck in Iraq for 6 years doing nothing except trying not to get killed.

Ha! That reminds me of a question I have: Do you think the flag ribbon magnets that everyone seems to have on their car lately actually serve a purpose other than making the owner feel better about themselves?

That makes no sense. If you're going to feel bad for someone, feel bad for the people who signed up before 9/11.

I have no stickers or magnets or anything on my car. Besides being a plain Jane, my opinion changes too often for that.

Why?

12 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Friday 1/4/08 - 12:04:54 AM EST (GMT-5)
No. I don't put stickers on my car.
12 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Friday 1/4/08 - 12:47:24 AM EST (GMT-5)
My moped is stickerless so far.

Because they joined during a time of peace, when war wasn't even a factor. Anyone who joined since knew they were most likely going to Iraq.

I agree with Harold. It makes no sense to feel sorry for the ones joining up during war rather than before.

But why don't you support the troops, Kiki?

I don't have a sticker on my car because I don't really care too much to go and buy one. I don't even know a place where I could get one.

12 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Friday 1/4/08 - 8:31:04 AM EST (GMT-5)
Even though people can say that they support the troops without supporting the war, a "support the troops" sticker still implies that I support the war, which I don't.

I only "support the troops" in the sense that I'd like them to come home safely as soon as possible. That's the same way that I support EVERYONE, though, so I don't know if I can say that I truly do "support" them. My support is too vague and general.

No, thanks.

Yeah but they still knew war could happen at any moment

You're so full of poo.
12 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Sunday 1/6/08 - 11:37:12 PM EST (GMT-5)
You're full of ignorance if you think that isn't true. Anyone who signs up knows that murdering is part of the job, and that one day they may be called to do just that.
12 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Sunday 1/6/08 - 11:47:15 PM EST (GMT-5)
And yet you said youself that you support some of them. Does that make you a supporter of murderers or just a hypocrite?
12 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 1/28/08 - 3:24:09 AM EST (GMT-5)
No, I think they're tacky.
12 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Saturday 4/5/08 - 7:51:55 PM EST (GMT-5)
No, because I find the concept of "supporting our troops" vague. I certainly don't support the whole mess in Iraq, but of course, I hope all of them get home safely. Is that really embodied by a yellow ribbon magnet? Probably not.
Also, I've only seen them on SUVs and I drive a corolla, so it's probably not allowed.
12 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Sunday 4/6/08 - 4:44:10 AM EST (GMT-5)
No, I don't. I don't support Chinese sweatshops.
12 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Monday 8/11/08 - 4:13:11 PM EST (GMT-5)
No, but I have the utmost respect for them.
11 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Monday 12/29/08 - 1:09:53 AM EST (GMT-5)
No but I have a US Army license plate because my husband is currently serving our country overseas in Baghdad
