I go by what I can afford, along with something that looks decent.

Price first, then trend. Most important is just what they look like and how comfortable they are.

Trend, normally. I know, I suck, but I likes me some trendy tennis shoes.

Neither, really...the things that I think are cute never come in an 11 to begin with. I the new Keds, but they always sell out in my size, and a lot of other brands don't even carry an 11. I would say availability, then comfort, then style.

Trend of course. It isn't like I would buy a pair of these if they cost $10.

Ang stole my answer. Comfort in shoes means everything. And I keep my shoes for a long time.

Price, mostly. I generally buy a pair of generic low-top tennis shoes and a pair of steel-toed workboots when I need them, and I refuse to pay more than $50 total.

Neither. I buy them because I like the color and because they're comfortable. Ofcourse the price is a very important thing. It has to come cheap as well.

How they look and the price. I can't afford to spend a ridiculous amount on something just because of the name.

Ohhh my God don't even get me started on trend. The trend nowadays is to buy these $80 shoes that are EXACTLY like my $10 Airwalk shoes except- OH WAIT!- they have a DC logo on them. Stupidest thing I have ever seen in my LIFE.

Price. I go for comfort and color. I know that sounds weird, but for an example...I would never wear a shoe that has yellow, or neon green. And sneakers often have colors. Also, I will not spend a lot on sneakers because they get dirty easily and just don't last like my clogs do.

If they're sneakers for working out, I go for fit and comfort. If they're for general wear, I'll choose something I like the look of.

I am obsessed with the new keds. I bought 3 pairs over the summer.
I meet in the middle between trend and price.
