Yes, unless I'm really tired or drunk.

i like a little background noise like rain, city noises, a fan.
12 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Thursday 7/12/07 - 8:14:16 PM EST (GMT-5)
That's the best and fastest way for me to fall asleep. Any little noise wakes me up.
12 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Thursday 7/12/07 - 8:56:12 PM EST (GMT-5)
No, I can't get to sleep if it's totally dark and totally quiet. I need constant noise (of any kind - radio, fan, rain, people talking, whatever), and like to have my light box on as well.
12 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Thursday 7/12/07 - 10:00:00 PM EST (GMT-5)
i would like it to be like that but the most important is that i have a nice heavy blanket
12 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Friday 7/13/07 - 8:42:08 PM EST (GMT-5)
No, I've fallen asleep with the TV on with the remote control still in my hand many times. As long as I'm sleepy and I'm comfortable, I can fall asleep even if the room is noisy and bright.
12 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Saturday 7/14/07 - 8:25:39 PM EST (GMT-5)
No, I can't sleep without the TV on
12 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Sunday 7/15/07 - 12:24:05 AM EST (GMT-5)
No, there HAS to be a little bit of light and sound. My aquarium's water filter, and the screen saver on my monitor is very soothing.
12 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Sunday 7/15/07 - 11:10:38 AM EST (GMT-5)
If I did, I'd never get any sleep in my apartment. Too much traffic noise and street lights shining through the window.
12 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 7/16/07 - 12:27:31 AM EST (GMT-5)
I used to sleep with the tv on and the lights, or I couldn't sleep. I somehow sleep with no lights or tv now.. I could sleep either way though.
12 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 7/16/07 - 10:56:25 AM EST (GMT-5)
pretty much, although there is a lamppost right outside my room in England. It seemed a bit bright when I first came back but now I must be used to it
12 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 7/16/07 - 12:08:41 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yeah, most of the time I only want my room to be completely dark before I can fall asleep but then again it depends on how tired I am.
12 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 7/16/07 - 12:12:30 PM EST (GMT-5)
It has to be completely dark for me to sleep,
but I usually need some kind of noise, like a fan.
I can't sleep in total silence.
12 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Tuesday 7/17/07 - 4:33:55 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yes, I hate that.
12 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Tuesday 7/17/07 - 4:34:45 PM EST (GMT-5)
I can sleep under almost any condition.
12 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Saturday 7/21/07 - 1:21:29 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yes, I study in central London and there is so much noise and light pollution. I thought would get used to it, but so far I haven't which is really fustrating.
12 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Monday 8/20/07 - 1:15:53 PM EST (GMT-5)
I can't get to sleep unless it's really quiet, so I just fold up a towel and stick it over my ear, since I sleep on my stomach. It cancels out all the noise.
12 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Monday 8/20/07 - 1:58:38 PM EST (GMT-5)
i can sleep in almost any situation... there's always people in my apartment being loud so i got used to it
12 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 9/20/07 - 5:23:24 PM EST (GMT-5)
That used to be the case.

Then I became homeless. So I have to sleep with 20 other women in the room. They talk. The TV's on so are the lights (at least most of the lights). I still have to sleep. It took some practice and getting used to, but I can do it.

12 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Sunday 12/2/07 - 4:40:05 AM EST (GMT-5)
i feels weird trying to sleep if its quiet since i normally sleep with my radio on
12 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Sunday 12/2/07 - 4:47:30 AM EST (GMT-5)
It can't be completely dark, and if there isn't complete silence, it will take me longer to fall asleep.
12 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Saturday 12/29/07 - 9:22:57 PM EST (GMT-5)
I have to fall asleep with the either the TV on or someone talking in the backround, because I feel almost safer, like someone would be there to protect me if something happened.
