If you've got a room in your house that never seems to get enough light, has CeeLite got the wallpaper for you. The company's Light Emitting Capacitor (LEC) panels are flexible, paper-thin light bulbs that you can hang on a wall, coming in sizes as large as 3 x 6 feet. Just a millimeter thick, the panels sandwich light-emitting phosphors between layers of electrodes. When an AC voltage is applied, the phosphors light up with a warm white glow, consuming less power than a neon or fluorescent bulb. The panel naturally glows evenly, though you can set them up to dim, glow brighter, or blink like crazy when touched. The panels are already lighting up store windows, dance floors, pillars, and trendy bars...

Why is the world always coming up with these stupid inventions when nothing is wrong with the product in the first place?

Sounds wonderful. Another inventive lighting solution.

We need more.

Good idea but I wouldn't buy them as they are. I prefer my lighting to be subtle or decorative, not a big flat square on my wall.
13 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Thursday 12/28/06 - 8:32:39 PM EST (GMT-5)
No, I wouldn't. I have so many lamps that adding more light isn't necessary.
13 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Thursday 12/28/06 - 8:39:00 PM EST (GMT-5)
I like the LED lamps personally, they probably take up a fraction of the energy that thing does and probably also deliver much more light with a higher quality

Yes, I like LED's for these reasons as well.

no, I use energy saving lights that use 20% of the energy, emit twice the light, and last way longer.

and my walls are full already.

That's pretty cool, but no thanks.
13 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Saturday 12/30/06 - 5:36:40 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yes, that's cool.
13 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Sunday 12/31/06 - 8:25:11 AM EST (GMT-5)
Oooh, how cool. Definitely.
13 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Sunday 12/31/06 - 8:52:57 AM EST (GMT-5)
I'd give it a try. Looks cool anyway.
13 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Sunday 12/31/06 - 9:24:00 AM EST (GMT-5)
It doesn't fill some void in my life, but this is a brilliant innovation that will last, and eventually, I'll have something like this.
13 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Sunday 12/31/06 - 4:38:53 PM EST (GMT-5)
No, I hate flourescent lighting and anything that looks like it. I don't care how energy efficient it is, it's aesthetically unattractive and gives me a headache.
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 2/15/07 - 5:30:56 PM EST (GMT-5)
No. Imagine someone flicking a switch and the whole room lighting up while you try to sleep? Gah, I'd never get any sleep ever again..
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 2/15/07 - 7:27:40 PM EST (GMT-5)
It doesn't seem like somethin I would like in my house.
13 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Sunday 3/25/07 - 12:08:20 PM EST (GMT-5)
those things look VERY interesting!
i'd buy one!
13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Tuesday 6/12/07 - 12:04:06 PM EST (GMT-5)
That's really cool. I love the idea, I'd definitely buy one.
13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Tuesday 6/12/07 - 4:38:44 PM EST (GMT-5)
Sure. They're cool looking. I'd buy one.
13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Tuesday 6/12/07 - 4:41:48 PM EST (GMT-5)
I like it but I wouldn't buy one.
13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Tuesday 6/12/07 - 4:52:42 PM EST (GMT-5)
Looks kind of cool! The energy savings factor is nice too. I'd be interested in the cost though.

eek, that sounds like something my brother would do, oh god that would suck

13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Friday 6/22/07 - 11:54:15 PM EST (GMT-5)
The lights I have now are just fine.
13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Monday 6/25/07 - 12:07:40 AM EST (GMT-5)
i like it a lot, it looks cool, i want them, but i wouldn't buy them because i already am using energy saving lightbulbs and these probably wouldn't make a big difference in the electricity bill
13 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Sunday 8/5/07 - 8:00:25 PM EST (GMT-5)
If it came in the color light blue, but didn't shine blue light I would buy it for my bedroom.
