13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Sunday 9/24/06 - 1:44:51 PM EST (GMT-5)
rationally speaking, if they "should" then they would..only things that take place should take place ...rationally speaking..
13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Sunday 9/24/06 - 1:45:41 PM EST (GMT-5)
I would enjoy the panic.
13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Friday 10/6/06 - 3:42:09 PM EST (GMT-5)
Ignorance is bliss but I would still like to know.
13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Friday 10/6/06 - 3:47:48 PM EST (GMT-5)
Mass panic would not be a pretty sight and I think I would rather die happy instead of in fear and dread.
13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Friday 10/6/06 - 7:09:30 PM EST (GMT-5)
I think it would be better to know, so that everyone could get right with God.
13 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Sunday 10/8/06 - 12:35:05 AM EST (GMT-5)
I guess people have a right to know when they're going to die no matter what.
13 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 10/28/06 - 5:18:26 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yes so that you could live out your last days as you shoul or see fit.
13 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Monday 11/6/06 - 7:24:34 PM EST (GMT-5)
I'd rather know. To live it up
13 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Monday 11/6/06 - 8:04:45 PM EST (GMT-5)
I don't know, I kinda like the idea of waking up one morning and when I look out the window seeing a huge chunk of rock in the sky as I think "That's interesting...".

supposed to be another big 'near miss' after 29 in 2052. Asteroids are the least of the concerns though, the earth is overdue for several natural disasters that could cause extinction or mass human problems including pole reversal, extreme solar storms, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and a few more which i cant remember off the top of my head. Anyway I dont think people should be told, if they dont already know the threats that exsist there is no point in scaremongering, who cares, the extinction of mankind wouldnt be a bad thing.

This is a (double!) repeat - how did it get through? Oh wait I know, searching before blindly approving must be so 2005. I guess I'm behind the times!

Yes, So I can abort all constructive activities and go on a destructive rampage.
13 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Wednesday 12/27/06 - 4:51:42 PM EST (GMT-5)
no i would do everything to keep under wraps so that there would be a greater chance that the diasaster kills all life
13 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Wednesday 12/27/06 - 5:00:37 PM EST (GMT-5)
We should be told. It will cause riots and lootings and orgies in the streets. Mass suicides. Prophets. Stock markets going haywire. Even new wars.

But so what? It doesn't really matter, does it? After all, it's game over.

But when that hitherto unknown asteroid is on a confirmed collission course with Earth, they WON'T tell us.
Or IF the story leaks (scoop of the Aeon!)they will tell us that they will blow it to smithereeens in the last minute with nukes or whatever.

13 yrs ago - Tuesday 1/23/07 - 8:35:22 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yes, the people should be told so they can take proper measures in order to be safe or at least try to be.
13 yrs ago - Tuesday 1/23/07 - 9:32:22 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yes, but it may very well cause global chaos.
12 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Wednesday 4/11/07 - 4:30:06 PM EST (GMT-5)
It should so people can take care of things they've always wanted to do, like go skydiving, or patching things up with an estranged relative, for example.
12 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Sunday 5/13/07 - 2:52:27 PM EST (GMT-5)
I'd want to know. I would go out in the wilderness to watch the disaster happen. (If it was something like an asteroid or the sun exploding or something)
12 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Sunday 5/13/07 - 2:54:07 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yes, I think people should be told. Why should only a select group of people know and be able to prepare accordingly and the rest kept in the dark?
12 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Wednesday 5/23/07 - 4:32:16 PM EST (GMT-5)
Of course we should be told, keeping that kind of info a secret is deadly imo..
12 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Wednesday 5/23/07 - 4:35:24 PM EST (GMT-5)
the amount of fear/rioting/raping and pillaging would be scary, I'd rather the human race go relatively peacefully.
12 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Tuesday 7/3/07 - 5:19:41 PM EST (GMT-5)
no whats the point of knowing. then we would spend all our time and money trying to stop it instead of living like...well like there was an astroid coming to kill us all lol

pole reversal? how is that supposed to be a threat? ohh we'll have to buy a new compas!

But meh, on the list of bad things to worry about, if you are worrying about this then you don't have enough in your life.

12 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Monday 7/9/07 - 2:45:23 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yeah, there are people who would want to do somthing before they died. I know one of my friends would fly in from holland to meet my cousin, they are in love but over the internet, i know another friend would confess to her brother that she's the one who forgot to feed his parrot the right food..
