Why would you let them go if you loved them? If they cling on then I would think it endearing.

If you think of it that way you could also say that the best way to love is to let die...

Yeah I have never understood that saying. I know Id do anything I could to never let go. Also is letting go the same as allowing freedom? Or does letting go imply that your almost forcing them to leave, or leaving yourself?

I have never been in, or heard of a situation where loving someone means letting them go, so that whole statement is void, at least to me.

"if you love someone than let them go" only applies if they want to go.

it's "let" them go, not "make" them go. this question is retarded.

No, I think they believe that it's the wrong time to let go.

I've never heard a non-hypothetical situation that fit that expression, so basically I think it's nonsense.

The confusing part is the second part of the question. It makes ZERO sense. If you love someone, let them go. If they love you back, they won't. Go, that is. If they DO leave you, then as much as that hurts (and I am here to say that it hurts a very great deal)you need to let them. Why would you want someone who doesn't want you? I know the answer to this, but it's still a bad idea, as much as I miss her. And yes, I'm talking about a specific incident as well as an important lesson in general. It's painful truth here.

My boyfriend broke up with me and I didn't want to let go. That doesn't mean I don't love him. To me, it just shows how much I really do love him! Too bad he don't care.

If you love someone, set them free. If they come back to you, set them on fire.

No, it's not. I think that it would mean the other person has more problems with letting go.

I dont understand the question. If the cling wouldnt that mean they still LUST you, not love you...
