No, it could have sentimental value to the owner.

No, unless it's a one of a kind that no one knows about.

of course not, it has value. I don't see much difference between a good quality antique and an expensive car in this respect. How can something that can sell for millions possibly be called worthless?

No, sentimental value is worth quite a bit.

Nope, there's always sentimental value.

Not just sentimental value, but if you're actually useing it for something. Like the draws in the pictures.. Then it's worth something.

No it isn't. It's sentimental value. We have furniture in my house that has been passed down from generation to generation.

If the piece pleases you, why would you consider it worthless?

Antiques always have value. Just sometimes you have to find the person willing to buy it.

No, it can have sentimental value, or a dollar value that someone's unaware of.

Thats like saying that your house is worthless until you sell it.

It it does not have worth, no one would want to buy it, so it must have worth if you can sell it at all. Also, if your antique is worthless and you accidentally get a little crack in it, how can it decrease in value if it had no value to begin with?

Have you ever seen the antique roadshow on TV? People bring their antiques to be appraised. To appraise is to estimate the value of it.

So yes, an antique has worth before you sell it.

Depends on the antique. Most things are pretty pointless if they're for decorative purposes, so thier only value if what you can sell it for. Other stuff, like a antique wardrobe has some usefulness, IF you use it (which some people don't because it's an antique and they don't want to ruin it). I'm going to say no.

other than sentimental value, pretty much.
12 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Thursday 7/19/07 - 12:00:03 AM EST (GMT-5)
Its uniqueness and sentimental value adds up in money.
