Yes, character is more important.
But if you have a bad reputation, you'll be severly stunted in life.

I'd say character. Though I'm not sure how this is a 'yes' or 'no' question.

My reputation is who I am, though people often tend to overexaggerate it.

I don't get the yes/no options.
13 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Friday 9/29/06 - 12:43:31 PM EST (GMT-5)
Character. Take care of that and reputation will take care of itself.
13 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Monday 10/9/06 - 7:35:31 PM EST (GMT-5)
Character, duh. It makes sense to be more concerned with what you actually are. I don't give a crap about my reputation.

I would agree, but I don't see reputation as merely some arbitrary external judgment. It's not like middle school popularity; it's a reflection of our character.

Your options need to be edited.

Oh God. Questions like these are so stupid.

What came first, the chicken or the egg?

If u have a good rep then u get a good confidence and if u have good confidence then ur character builds

Character, its more important than how others see you
13 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Friday 2/23/07 - 9:32:19 AM EST (GMT-5)
Everyone's reputation is determined by their character.
13 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Tuesday 3/20/07 - 11:59:23 PM EST (GMT-5)
This is worded incorrectly. Shouldn't it be more like "Should we be more concerned with our character than our reputation?", seeing as how the choices are yes or no? If it's "Should we be more concerned with our character or our reputation?" then the choices should be either character or reputation.

Either way, character is more important. Reputation is a very weak thing to depend on, one should not change their character just for other people.

13 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Wednesday 3/21/07 - 9:03:01 AM EST (GMT-5)
Our character is more important than the reputation we have.
13 yrs ago - Thursday 4/26/07 - 11:17:35 PM EST (GMT-5)
Um no? I don't know how to answer that.
12 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Saturday 6/9/07 - 1:25:40 AM EST (GMT-5)
Character is something YOU have to live with, but ultimately, people who judge you on personality will effect pretty much everything you can and can't do in society (like getting a job).
11 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Sunday 8/17/08 - 2:34:39 PM EST (GMT-5)
Reputation can contain everything thats happened to you and can't really be changed but character can be.. I don't know if that makes sense, but character is more important.
