I'm Irish, 'nuff said People tend to forget that England was considered celtic before the Romans & Saxons. Brittany, Northern Spain & parts of Germany are also celtic regions

Where do you think the Scots came from? | I was thinking more of lowland and highland differences, although if my memory serves me correctly are quite different culturally especially on the English-Scottish border. Plus i'm not sure how far my Scottish roots go. I have only gone as far as researching my surname so my bloodline may be different, particularly as my Grandad was adopted, which makes it harder for me to trace my geneology.

The whole of central europe was under the rule of the celts. Specialy gaul, but it was overrun by the romans. And england was overrun by the anglo saxons. Since by law it was illegal for anglo saxons to marry celts. Many enlgish and scotts don't have celtic ancestry. These are the current remnants.
