Always flush......we have severe drought conditions now, so whenever possible my husband and son pee in the backyard. Don't know if it helps, but they sure enjoy it.

Severe drought conditions. | Of course, if you live in some parts of the world (or even the US) water conservation is a pretty key issue and you could make the arguement that given the number of people living in the Southwest its always a time of severe drought there. Also, while fresh water may appear to be limitless, it ceratinly is not. Most areas are quickly draining their aquifers and water rights are becoming a major issue.

No. Too much TP in the toilet will clog it up.

Used to follow this, but for the last year or so the stale pee smell has been getting to me.

No, but I did towards the end of a very severe two year drought we had back in the mid 1970s. Things were truly desperate. The water level in Lake Tahoe was the lowest it had been in almost 2000 years, and the Hetch-hetchy reservoir that provided us with water was down to it's last acre-foot of water before we got any relief.

Only during severe droughts, as others have said. I seem to remember that, visiting my grandparents in the Bay Area of California in about 1990 or so they had to follow that rule for a whole year.
I think that the tenants who lived in our apartment before us were not concerned about water conservation but were more likely lazy and toilet training regressive when they peed all over the balcony and let it run down the drain hole to the patio of the apartment below!

I wont follow this for 1 simple reason. I wipe everytime I go so I don't want to leave my toilet paper floating in the toilet bowl.
I flush no matter what.

Yep. We flush pee when there starts to be an accumulation of toilet paper (3 females in the family) or when it starts to stink. Otherwise, we let it ride.
