I don't like holding birds; they scratch you and they're loud. I'd rather have the bush.

Uhhh....depends on the kind of bird. If it's like a parakeet or something in my hand but if it was like a pidgeon or other wild bird it can stay it's happy little self in the bush.

Do they have to be real animals? I'd rather have an oragami crane in my hand. Not as noisy, etc.

Exactly WHAT is in that bush? That would help if I knew what was in there.

HA! I'm glad I'm not the only person with a dirty mind! I'd rather 2 in the bush... one of my friends has a bird that bites me! figuratively speaking, I'd rather the 2 in the bush, because in life I tend to pine for the more that I see than what I already have in my hands.

piink: "One in the hand" means you have something attainable at your disposal. "two in the bush" means there's a chance of having something better come along for you to claim, but it's not so certain that you can grab it yet. So this question really asks.. what would you rather do? Take advantage of an offer now and assure that it happens? Or would you rather wait for something (that may never happen) to happen? Like a job, would you turn down one that was offered only to wait for a better one to come along or would you jump on the chance at your feet now for fear of taking it for granted?
