The question asked if we'd think it was funny if we heard Christ was a homo, not if we thought Christ was a homo. My answer to both of those questions would be no.

"If Judgment Day comes and Jesus asks me to repent for my sins, I'll simply state "No"." Uh...genius...when judgment day comes it's too little too late to say Yes or No...You repent beforehand, but g'head and comment about how "brave" you are and how you don't fear hell. I think it's cute and well.....very very ignorant.

If Jesus was gay, I would still worship him with all my heart.

I wasn't saying how "Brave" I was.I'm simply saying that I would find it hypocritical to suddenly regret everything bad I did in my life just to save my skin.

i think it'd be funny in that 'scarey beyond all reason' way. because self-righteous as*hats would be all upset about it & hopefully jesus had enough brains not to sleep with his brothers, cause that's incest. yuck.

yeah. not funny in itself, i have no problem with gay people. but the fact that some christians are so homophobic and spew all this crap about homosexuality being a sin would make it funny, in an ironic way.

The old testament says homosexuality is a sin, the new testament doesn't. I think it would be wonderfully ironic due to all of the gay hating bible thumpers in power nowadays.

If the bible said homosexuality is a sin, then the Bible is wrong. A sin is something committed. Nobody chooses their sexual orientation.

"I wasn't saying how "Brave" I was.I'm simply saying that I would find it hypocritical to suddenly regret everything bad I did in my life just to save my skin." You don't do it to "save your skin" you repent because you know you did wrong and you're sorry for what you've done, therefore you ask for forgiveness for your mistakes. People do that everyday in their lives when they make any kind of mistake because they're sorry. "The old testament says homosexuality is a sin, the new testament doesn't" Have you read the bible lately....or ever for that matter? It does say in the New Testament that homosexuality is a sin. "If the bible said homosexuality is a sin, then the Bible is wrong. A sin is something committed. Nobody chooses their sexual orientation." Where's your proof that no one chooses their sexual orientation? I'd love to read where they've stated absolutely that it is nature. I'm pretty sure they haven't

"Where's your proof that no one chooses their sexual orientation? I'd love to read where they've stated absolutely that it is nature. I'm pretty sure they haven't" ... You people and your choice of the word "nature"... Even if something is "nurture" instead, that doesn't make it less an aspect of that person, and it sure as hell doesn't make it a choice. I won't disagree with that the act could be deemed sinful, but to say that people CHOOSE their orientation is rather stupid, to say the least.

"but to say that people CHOOSE their orientation is rather stupid, to say the least." I find it stupid for you to think that they don't choose it. It depends on the person and their beliefs - I believe God made us as he wanted us and wouldn't create us with this pre-destined need to commit the sin of homosexuality. Therefore HE didn't make people be homosexuals, they chose it.

People aren't perfect. People are by nature prone to violence. God MADE us that way.

To suggest that people by nature are perfect is utterly ridiculous and against the basic dualist concepts of Christianity.

"To suggest that people by nature are perfect is utterly ridiculous and against the basic dualist concepts of Christianity." I never said they were perfect. Trust me...I know they aren't. No one is, and God knew we wouldn't be sinless, but he isn't going to create us TO sin. Sinning is a person's own choice - so if a person is homosexual it's their choice to sin. But again...I know people are perfect....so very well I know this.

"Sinning is a person's own choice - so if a person is homosexual it's their choice to sin." PRECISELY! It's the ACT that's considered sinful, not the attraction!

To lust after another - whether it be a man for a man or a man for a woman is a sin.

And lust is an uncontrolled, rather extreme form of attraction. Specifically, unrestrained and controlling.

Lust is not uncontrolled. You don't have to lust for another person - it's a sin - a ***choice***
