I lived in Israel for a couple of decades (I've moved back to the States since) and I can tell you with a great deal of certainty that:
1) Israel and Israelis are aware of all that the US has done for them;
2) Israel would not turn her back on the US unless the US abandoned her first;
3) Remember - there is no loyalty in politics, only interests!

AndresH - I noticed you're from Europe - Don't you think that France, England and many other western European countries owe the US the same debt Israel does? While it is true that Russia was hit the hardest in WWII, I am not sure they would have been victorious had it not been for the 2nd front opened by the US.
All the above is assuming that the outcome of WWII was the desireable one and without the intent of insulting anyone.

yes, i would be very surprised if the Israeli gov't turned on America, but i wont be if it was vice versa because it doesnt seem America needs Israel so much...but hopefully, G-d willing, America and Israel will stay best of friends and help each other out...these countries are where my heart is..im proud to be an american jew!

Given the extent to which the US provides for there national security, and that they consume half of out foreign aid spending…

However, I would not at all be surprised if the US turned on them. We did, after all, only alley ourselves with them for purely political reasons, so, it would stand to reason that if a Muslim country in the region, which had a stronger military, more influence over the other countries, and was more willing to be an agent for US policy, Israel would get the boot in no-time.

In essence Americans are creating a nation over there, right? Didn't Britan Create a country/colony in America to? History repeats itself, my friends, if US forces don't get out of there soon, there could be another revolutionary war.

yes phil, and it's perfectly obvious you're from the US. The current policy 'his skin's a bit brown, kill him by any means necessary as he must be a terrorist' that your country has adopted is hardly subtle.
By the way, the only reason your country supports israel at all is because your political parties tremble in fear at the power of the large Jewish vote. That's it, there is no other reason. your country has already shown in Iraq that it has no idea what morality might mean, so Israel can bomb all the civilians it chooses.

Israel also deprives Palestinians of the vote, forces them to live in ghettoes and makes it illegal for anyone who isn't Jewish to own land in Israel.
