Do you wish that commercials were more straight-forward?

Hmmm. Mustard.

Anyways I get what you mean. The commercials now a days are all over the place and I can't even tell what they're trying to sell me.

I wish that they were LESS straightforward. It's so incredibly boring when someone just stands there exclaiming about their product.

Well there's a good balance between interesting and information, and then there's just plain stupid. Now the Quizno Subs commercial... thats comedic gold!!!!
15 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Sunday 6/13/04 - 1:14:24 PM EST (GMT-5)
I wish they would all go the frick away. I don't want to hear about anything anyone has to sell. Advertisements ruined anything resembling culture.
15 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Sunday 6/13/04 - 1:14:26 PM EST (GMT-5)
I can't think of any right off hand but there are some commercials that actually do confuse me.

No. Most of the commercials that I've seen are straightforward.
15 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Saturday 7/24/04 - 4:57:58 PM EST (GMT-5)
That is boring...I like the sarcasm portrayed within the ads, a good mixture of present living.

At least the ads aren't in our heads playing where we can't turn them off... turn off the tv, go read a book. ("Feed" is a good and creepy science fiction book...)
15 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Monday 2/7/05 - 9:15:04 PM EST (GMT-5)
some commercials i enjoy are funny, and i enjoy them, but some....
well lets just say that some are so un-related to their product, they could be featuring snowglobes, and be selling picture frames...
if taht makes any sense at all...

"Hey"
"Me?"
"Yeah, you"
"What?"
"Buy This!"

But guessing makes it almost interesting.
My brother and i were watching tv and this commercial came on. I guessed it was for plastics and my brother guessed it was for a car. Turned out to be for beer. Who would have thought?

Yes. And you'd also be surprised at the amount of subliminal imaging used. It's amazing how sneaky some businesses can get just to sell their products.
