I agree with Czar. I earn my health care and my education. These things would be taken for granted if they were free.

I don't think we should have to pay for medical help or education, excluding college. Everybody needs it, so WHY do we have to pay for it? It still puzzles me.

I believe that we should have a socialized system of healthcare in America, though Canada and Europe have some flaws in their plans.

How, exactly, did you earn your education when you were 5 years old? Or 10 years old? You were given your education through tax dollars, or your parents paid for private schools. As for health care, many people work long hours at hard jobs, and get no health benifits. Insurance is VERY expensive. That's why I have it (it's a benifit where I work) but no one else in my family does - we can't afford to pay for it. We can't have a resonable society if people are not educated. I'm not willing to let people die in the streets because they don't have insurance. I work, I pay taxes, and I am *more* than willing to pay extra taxes to make sure everyone has an education and health care.

As much as people like to say health care is free in canada, it is not always. In stupid alberta you have to pay about 40 a month if you only have basic insurance. Free health care my ass!!!!

I think they fall under the basic human right of equality, everyone should have equal oppurtunity at a basic education, and in that everyone should be entitled to not to die from a simple infection because they're poor.

Think it might be an insight for some to look at British Work-houses in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Thats what happens!

I dont concede the human species many 'basic' rights. Any right must come with a responsibility, and I don't think that there are any natural rights of mankind.
