Would school have been a better experience if you kept the same teacher nearly all of your school life?

good god, no! that'd get so boring... and you need to get used to change. why not start early?

Yeah probably...I wouldn't have been exposed to as much diversity but I can think of a few teachers I should have had all my life...

I think you need a bit of variety and a different perspective.

No, what if you got stuck with a horrible teacher?
16 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Sunday 10/26/03 - 12:52:56 PM EST (GMT-5)
No that would be bad.
16 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Sunday 10/26/03 - 12:54:43 PM EST (GMT-5)
No, i agree with smurf- it would be really bad if you were given a teacher who you didn't get on with. Anyway, you learn the most about life by having a large number of teachers who will all teach you different aspects of life, show you different perspectives and support you in different ways. I love having lots of teachers- each has his/her own characteristics which help build you up.

That's what I was thinking smurf. If you got a terrible teacher, that would suck. And I'm not sure what they're getting at with the "same peers" since around here it's the same group k-12, and there are so few that everyone knows everone else.

With my luck I'd get stuck with somebody that I couldn't stand... And heck, if you messed up, that teacher would *always* know... How would you ever get anywhere new?

If I got to pick the teacher, then maybe yes. I've had some amazing teachers that I hated leaving. And I'd love to have the same classmates because where I lived before I came here, we had the same students in all classes from grade 1-6 and we formed really close friendships unlike in high school now where you have a zillion acquaintances but no really really really good friends.

Only if I chose the teacher

man, I think that would suck because I had some pretty crummy teachers. But, if I had a teacher that i like I think it would be a way better experience and an account that I would be able to form more of a relationship with my teacher and friends around me

perhaps not one teacher, but a group of teachers.

i attend an alternative school, and there are only five teachers which you get every year. sometimes, you have them for the same subject year after year, other times, you get switched up (math one year, geography the net, russian the year after, etc).

i prefer it this way - i know what my teacher expects of me and i know how he/she functions. i am comfortable with them so the classroom environment is never one of adversity.

NO that would be horrid just imagine if one kid didn't fit in how miserable they would be ALL through school without a chance of change

Weird idea, cool if you got a good teacher, crap if you got a bad one. Really weird when you leave school

I think I would begin having nightmares about the teacher even if I liked him/her.

Yes, it would of been great, she was a really good teacher and I would of loved to have her for my whole educational experience.
15 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Friday 4/16/04 - 11:31:22 AM EST (GMT-5)
I didn't have the same teachers but alot of the students have been together all through grade school, Jr high and High school. There were only about 25 kids my age in school, maybe less. My home town had only about 450 to 500 people in the whole town.
