Probably the mixed race - they may not be sure of which way they are supposed to go. I have a mixed friend that looks like he is completely black, and when his black friends find out his mom is white they make fun of him. So he hangs out with a lot of white people too because they don't care.

I think the mixed race person.....more of a visible minority

a biseual person doubles their chance of a date.

It depends on the place, as well. Which area has more biracial people, and which area has more bisexual people. Where I live, neither would really be a problem, because we have loads and loads of Eurasians, and you'd be lucky if you were a Eurasian, 'cause the natives here love them. All the Eurasians are actors/actresses, singers, models, etc. As for the bisexuals... well we have loads of gays (unsure about lesbians) here, as well, but since they're bi they probably wouldn't fit in completely with the gays or the straights, so I'd probably say the bisexual would have more of a problem.

Bisexuals would have a more difficult time finding community, even today, when it's such a "kewl" thing. The reason is that racial tolerance is at an all-time high, at least as far as public display is concerned; sexual orientation, however, is the last permissable/explainable prejudice in society. A bisexual may be able to find a male partner and a female partner, of course, but I bet the pool of possibilities would be far more shallow if they actually represented themselves as bisexual, and not just the orientation that corresponds to the person they are with.

Well said, Uncle. It seems to me that there are mixed-race people all over the place, as well as people that are of ambiguous race when you meet them. I also think that it's far easier to find places where racial lines are sketchy than it is to find places where people honestly don't care about sexual orientation.

When you get right down to it, we're mostly all 'mixed race.'
16 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Wednesday 10/22/03 - 6:59:31 AM EST (GMT-5)
Probably the mixed the race.
16 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Tuesday 11/25/03 - 8:12:17 PM EST (GMT-5)
Neither.
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Friday 12/5/03 - 10:14:05 AM EST (GMT-5)
in my school community they're both some what common. Most people will nto admit to being bi.

I think where I live no one would even notice if you were mixed, it may even make it easier, but sometimes bisexuals are given a really hard time.
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 12/20/03 - 1:12:55 PM EST (GMT-5)

I'm of mixed race, and I don't think I ever had trouble finding community.
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 12/20/03 - 1:13:39 PM EST (GMT-5)
Wait, what do you mean by community?
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Sunday 12/21/03 - 12:41:39 PM EST (GMT-5)
i am bisexual and idont find it hard to fit into a community...and i really dont think mixed races are also find it hard to fit in with people. not everyone fits in with everyone. its just how it goes
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Tuesday 1/27/04 - 6:40:36 AM EST (GMT-5)
bisexual person - that fad hasn't reached over here yet
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Tuesday 1/27/04 - 7:01:31 AM EST (GMT-5)
Well, where I live it would definitely be the bisexual person. My school is really mixed racially, but most of the kids still hang on tight to their homophobia.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 2/2/04 - 7:57:00 AM EST (GMT-5)
it does depend on the place, but i think that race would make it harder to settle into a community because it is something that you can see! community
16 yrs ago - Monday 3/15/04 - 10:21:45 PM EST (GMT-5)
I would agree with uncle. Gays are still discriminated against a lot more than races are anymore.
16 yrs ago - Monday 3/22/04 - 1:32:11 AM EST (GMT-5)
As one, i can tell you that most likely Bisexuals are because your never sure if your all the way gay or you just like both genders so your liking chicks and guys. But then you like the guy more then the girl. Your not sure if that means something.
16 yrs ago - Monday 3/22/04 - 7:31:58 AM EST (GMT-5)
Neither.
15 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Thursday 6/3/04 - 11:12:54 AM EST (GMT-5)
It would be more difficult for the bisexual to find community. The mixed race advertises who and what they are on their skin. The bi has to be more daring to meet like minded people.
15 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Thursday 6/3/04 - 7:41:45 PM EST (GMT-5)
Do people really have a problem with mixed races?

It's something I've honestly never even considered. It's just there. Hearing that people are against it is sort of like hearing that some people are against clouds or grass or something equally silly.

15 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Tuesday 6/8/04 - 3:01:18 PM EST (GMT-5)
Mixed race. More identifiable.
15 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Friday 7/9/04 - 11:52:25 AM EST (GMT-5)
To completely agree with Screamingdsy word for word:
Well, where I live it would definitely be the bisexual person. My school is really mixed racially, but most of the kids still hang on tight to their homophobia.
15 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Friday 7/9/04 - 11:59:14 AM EST (GMT-5)
I think it's more of a personal issue. If someone is bi or mixed and has the right attitude they can be fine.
