i think i can comprehend it and have accepted it. i agree that most people cannot accept it and so have created religion and the afterlife so keep their minds at rest.

That's why I live my life now and not live it for an afterlife. I love life, and I'm totally high off of it. Death is it's end, but I understand that it's final and that's why I should be enjoying what I have right now instead of waiting for the life that is supposedely to come.

I think that the very fear of death drives us to denying it. Death is so far away. It's not until we feel the grasp of death upon us that we start acknowledging death.

All I know is it would really suck to just die, and thats it. I belive there is something after death, yet we will never understand it

Hard to compete with what gooter said. But, yeah, anyone who says they understand death is a friggin liar. Even those people who say they've died and come back to life, come on, that light was just a TRICK of a DYING BRAIN. It is what you expect, and also a predominant image, so that is the last image it sends to you. There is no Light. The Light is Dead.
