No, I know some people who really do love math. I don't understand it, but I don't think they are making it up.

I like mathS, but I don't love it. And everyone I know wouldn't say they loved it if they didn't, because they'd rather sound cool than smart.

I actually like algebra. It was my favourite subject at school. Probably because it was the only thing I was any good at!

I really liked math until algebra 2. I even made my own random equations for squares and cubes in my spare time (yeah, I'm a nerd)

I've loved math ever since I was 2 and my mother was teaching me addition... and basic basic algebra when I was 3... I'm good at it, and I like it, what more do you want... but calculus just bores the hell out of me... IT'S BORING!

No. If anything, I think it's more trendy to claim that you are a reader, the creative type, rather than a math person, which might seem geeky.
I like math. When I doodle, it's numbers.

When I was in school, it seemed like the people who didn't like/get algebra (me) were really good at things like history and english and vice versa.

No. I kind of had fun with it. And I'm not lying to sound smart because even though I had fun with it, I had a very hard time getting the right answers most of the time.

I enjoyed math because it requires you to think a bit, it's not just useless memorization. I could have become a mathematician if I so desired.... but I don't like Math that much.
I do know people who do genuinely love math though. And I ahve to agree... nobody says they love math to sound smart. It's a great way to get weggied. UL is right, people are more apt to say they love reading because it's the trendy thing to do.

I agree with everyone that said no one says they love math just to sound smart, if they love it they really do. More power to them, someone needs to do those jobs that math teachers talk about that involve tons of math, and I sure don't want it to be me.

No way, there are those folks who truely love math. All Math is is base 10 logic problems. If you know a person who likes logic problems (and there are quite a few out there), they prolly like math.

No, I enjoy math because each problem is a like a puzzle, and it's rewarding, oddly, to figure them out.
