Why should I let the world's views affect my own?
16 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Wednesday 2/26/03 - 2:04:22 AM EST (GMT-5)
I support the idea of a war anyway, coz we've let Saddaam Hussein get away with murder, quite literally, for far too long. He's not giving up his weapons of mass destruction, so we've got to get rid of him somehow...
16 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Wednesday 2/26/03 - 2:06:56 AM EST (GMT-5)
I am not for a war of any sort. However, in this case I dont see any other solution. I just hope we get it right this time and finish the job.

i support the war with iraq without the support of the international community.
16 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Saturday 3/1/03 - 12:10:16 AM EST (GMT-5)
The international community can kiss my ass. I can make up my own mind, and it's made up on no to the war.

travbowman, mike, you two leberals and all the others on this site are part of the problem. You are lucky there are stand up people who support the President. They are the ones who provide you the freedom to be crybabies. I'm waiting for your reply. Liberals always reply. They're nothing but crybabies!!!!!

just because other peoples views change, my own views won't

Interesting .... amongst people who support democracy many display all the personal qualities of a kind of dictatorship they advocate the destruction of. I would not oppose a decision based upon the fact that it was reached by an international consensus but I would based upon the fact that it received more consideration because it was made unilaterally by the person with the biggest stick. I would support a war with Iraq if I felt that the objective of the war was for the benefit of the people of Iraq and that those benefits could not be attained by negotiation. I feel that maybe an International force should be put toghether to begin the disarming of all WOMD and that countries should be limited to police forces, leaving international policing to international organizations. At least there would be more talking before anything ever got out of hand.

If that's the only thing that can comfort you, I won't argue with you, just not to take any sense of self-esteem away. But what you have to understand is that you are nothing more than a conservative drone. Saddam may be evil, but he's not going to attack anyone, not now, not ever. So I don't know what kind of pixie faries you're protecting me from.
16 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Saturday 3/1/03 - 2:01:05 PM EST (GMT-5)
And as far as I remember mr "freedom to be crybabies" the first conservative movement in United States wanted you guys to answer to the bloody King of England. So don't tell me what your party can or can't do. And I'm no Liberal, I'm Moderate.
16 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Saturday 3/1/03 - 2:04:57 PM EST (GMT-5)
I don't care about the international community. I support the war because I haven't yet heard a better solution to this problem. Sure, world peace would be great, but since we aren't the ones causing the problems, we can't be the ones who start the peace process.
16 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Saturday 3/1/03 - 3:50:36 PM EST (GMT-5)
Nope, I dont and never will, the us needs to learn to grow up and stop promoting duct tape
16 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Saturday 3/1/03 - 4:05:43 PM EST (GMT-5)
moderate... liberal... big deal, go ahead and cry! Just remember to use Mr. when you speak. And I agree what good would duct tape do in a chemical attack.
16 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Saturday 3/1/03 - 4:12:17 PM EST (GMT-5)
Who's crying? Why's crying? What about crying? God, you're more confusing than War in Peace in Bushisms. Ben, there will be no chemical attack. Too bad that you can't see beyond yourself.
16 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Saturday 3/1/03 - 5:03:32 PM EST (GMT-5)
I'm looking way beyond myself, Mike. You need to remember freedom isn't free. Do you remember 911, or have you forgotten like the others. Bin Laden and the lying Hussein struck us first!!!
16 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Saturday 3/1/03 - 5:07:55 PM EST (GMT-5)
The legitimacy of an actions is born out of the act itself, not the people going through the motions. Immoral men can, every now and then, do a moral thing, and vice versa. Why then should we let who is doing something alter our opinion of whether it is right or wrong?
16 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Saturday 3/1/03 - 5:25:25 PM EST (GMT-5)
By know you should've learnt that the threat is never where you think it is. Well then , slow learner.
16 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Sunday 3/2/03 - 6:14:05 AM EST (GMT-5)
Keep crying mike. When you grow up and see the US has always provided your security, then you'll get it.
16 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Sunday 3/2/03 - 6:15:03 AM EST (GMT-5)
I guess I'd feel more comforable if a lot of people seemed to know what they're doing, as opposed to one man who doesn't see to have a bloody clue!
16 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Sunday 3/2/03 - 7:18:28 AM EST (GMT-5)
It would be kind of unfair to say the international community suppporting the war would not make me change my view. Of course I would not blindly follow anyone, but if the international community would be pro this war, I would think there would be a lot more ground for the war itself. The fact that the international community does not see war as the solution at this moment must tell us that maybe it is indeed NOT the solution. I don't care how scared Bush wants us to be or how much he brainwashes people into the fact that Saddam Hussein is a threat. And fortunately a lot of countries are thinking the same way.
16 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Sunday 3/2/03 - 12:50:03 PM EST (GMT-5)
Crying? Where are you getting this from?
16 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Monday 3/3/03 - 2:45:43 PM EST (GMT-5)
Do you think Hitler was a threat?
16 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Monday 3/3/03 - 3:59:07 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yes, I think Hitler was a threat. But Hitler didn't have tens of powerful countries vowing to defeat his country as soon as he would lay one finger upon another country. Saddam does. He'll think twice before attacking anyone.
