Castration might work for SOME criminals...mainly sex offenders... But yes, harsher penalties might work. Right now all prison is just a place with free food, a place to sleep and indifferent treatment.

No prison is a place where hatred runs rampant, racism is common and allowable often ending in death or rape. People kill each other regularily and being taken out and beaten within an inch of your life is common. Rape is very common, and people often have to give up their ideals just to survive. Prison is anything but enjoyable. Harsher punishments have never throughout history stopped crime. The source of crime is people, their surroundings and their beliefs.

Yes, the 10-20-Life program in Florida. I'm proud to say I lived there and voted for Jeb, solely because of this legislation he signed. /10-20-life/bg.html

Bah! Before I opened this thread, I *knew* someone would say death. I actually guessed it would be three people, but it was two.
I'll make it three myself then.
I'm not in favour of the death penalty, but it would cure the behaviour.

Granted, an extreme treatment, with some fatal side effects, but whatchagonnado?

Have the earth explode....No more earth. No more criminals.
