It was always my best method to prepare. Keeping up with homework every day helped me TONS more than any amount of studying ever did.

The trick is don't do any homework until the day before the exam. then the night before you do it all in one marathon session and your mind will be completely geared towards tomorrow's test

Duh - I always knew teachers gave unrelated homework to keep us too busy to learn what they were going to test us on - so I never wasted time by studying.
