yes. i've thought about it for awile (not growing up and being a teacher and molesting a student, but what should happen to them, because where i come from, my town is full of messed up people). well, i have one teacher who was accused of sexually molesting a girl, and they moved him from the high school to the jr. high and he calld a girl a whore once. Mr.Velte is a jerk... i think that we should take a red-hot peice of metal, and shove it down their throats, and yank out that little flap of skin behind there and let them choke on their own blood.

Like all molesters, they should take a branding Iron and brand them in the foreheads that they are a child molester. Then everyone would know who they are where ever they go.

he should be tried and convicted fairly in a court and sentenced to prison, where he no doubt will endure rape...

this just recently happened at my old highschool. no one really knows if he actually assaulted the student though. even if he didnt, he's been accused of it and it'll probably haunt him and his professional career.

^ Good point guerrilla, there are teachers accused who are innocent. What about consenting teacher/pupil relationships? The teacher would still have commited an offence, so should that be punished the same? Shall we even wait for a trial or shall we lynch mob all those dogdy people who spend too much time around children? :) Does it matter about the pupil's age? Is it worse with say a 7 year or a 15 year old? Under 13s legally cannot give actual consent, under 16s can't give legal consent. Teachers can't be intimate with pupils at all. What if the pupil comes on to the teacher? Gets caught, blames the teacher? I don't know, maybe I'm just soft, but I wouldn't go for anything more extream than jail for those foun guilty in a court of law. And full clearance for those found not guilty.

I had a teacher like that, his ass better still be in jail. He hit on me when I was in 8th grade and I changed schools. I found out that he was doing a whole bunch of students and he finally got caught with his pants down. The students were all in love with him. *bleh*

To answer the question I think they should be locked up in prison for life.
