Let me get this straight...We were still under Clinton's budget and the recession started two months after he was in office (but showed signs of slowing for a year prior) before the tax cuts took place but Bush is to blame. And we're dumbasses?

Recession is a cyclical thing and booms & slumps are all part of this....far too simplistic to blame one side. If you really want a scapegoat then maybe Alan Greenspan should be blamed.

Alright, I'll change my answer: Wal-Mart! All those insanely low prices, something bad was bound to happen.

Do you really, really think that one party is to blame over another with regard to this particular question? Huh? I don't think so. (50%)-> It is the one in the same individual that was elected to office that is to blame. It is that same individual, who is putting his / her own personal interests / agendas / ideas / wants / desires in front of the constituents for whom they represent. (50%) -> But, it is also today's people who elect those officials to office. Status Quo. Who would have thought about this particular phrase?

Personally...I think it's the little party in the middle...which I forgot what it's called. It's *always* the quiet ones.
