Funniest Comments of the Week
In a thread debating proper grammar:
Ongooshk: You lay a table, you lie down. Same as hung/hanged. A picture is hung, a person is hanged.
mynameismike: unless they're hung like a horse.
Ongooshk: I'm hanged like a horse, I'll have you know.
In a thread about the 13 year old kid who is supposed to have knocked up his girl :
twisebaker: My immediate guess is (from looking at their picture) that the girl is a predator.
sander: Just out of curiosity, twisebaker; how do you recognize a predator from a photograph?
MightyRhinox: Their eyes are at the front of their heads to help them better judge distances.
Random thread:
blue-guy: I'm really surprised how many people masturbate on YT. Although, I shouldn't be.
In a thread about a college grad using eBay to help look for a job:
Sheady: ebay is so 2005.
Boredofu: So are jobs...
In a thread about Brett Favre retiring again:
Jesse: Favre tried to throw in the towel...but it was intercepted.
Joke of the Week
Two Aliens
In the far reaches of our solar system, two alien life forms are communicating with each other.
First alien: "The dominant life forms on the earth planet have developed satellite based weapons."
Second alien: "Are they an emerging intelligence?"
First alien: "I don't think so. They have aimed these weapons at themselves."

JoeInterview's Member Feature
This week's interview features BobFudge. This interview was conducted by travbowman.
JoeInterview: First off, how did you find YT?
BobFudge: Honestly, I don't remember at all. I do remember being on I-A-B first, so I'm sure it's the same story everyone has. I do remember being on a few different names before I settled on BobFudge, thoug... sitting in the computer lab and showing this site to the people near me. Sorry about that.
JI: What would you say is the biggest reason you keep coming back for more?
BF: The friends I've made here are easily the first reason. I've met some pretty awesome people on here. I love the people (ok, person) I PM with... or seeing someone come back who's been gone for awhile.
JI: What's the story behind your username?
BF: Ha! I always feel like such a loser when I tell the story. I should probably come up with a cooler story to tell people, just so I don't feel like such a dork. Anyway. When I was about.... 13 or 14, my friend and I decided we were going to pretend to be Zac Hanson in a Hanson fan chat room.... and the screen name we used was BobFudge.
I didn't plan on keeping it, but LonePoet bought me a lifetime key, and I couldn't let that go to waste!
JI: Which Hanson brother will always be the coolest in your opinion?
BF: I would have to say the oldest one, Isaac. I've met them all, which really isn't surprising with all the times I've seen them. Of all the times that I have, though, he was always the nicest, and willing to talk or sign something, or take a picture. The other two were usually willing to do the same, but they didn't seem as normal, I guess, as Isaac did.
JI: Jonas Brothers versus Hanson Brothers in a battle to the death: Who wins and why?
BF: Haha, oh man! I am going to have to say hanson here. They are older, and smarter and could easily beat them. Besides, the Jonas Brothers would curl up in a ball when they see Taylor's lesbian-like looks swinging the battle axe for Nick Jonas's head
JI: So you recently got engaged. How are the wedding plans coming along?
BF: It's going very very well! As I plan though, I kind of feel like I have ADD. I'll be working on the guest list one second, and then searching for pictures of flowers. Or I'll decide that we're going to do the reception at one place, and everyone I tell will say "So where will it be next week". I've changed my mind about 18 times in the 3 weeks we've been engaged.
But, I think we've finally settled on where we're going to do things. The ceremony part will be in his home town at a pretty park with a stream... there is a little chapel in the woods. It's breathtaking in the summer. And then the reception will be in my hometown, at a supper club my parents go to a lot. At least that's what's going on this week.
JI: How did you meet your fiance?
BF: He went to high school with Jeni_s. 3 years ago, when it was cool to- she did one of those "add my friend!" things on myspace.... he added me after asking her about me. We met in person on Dec. 16th, 2005 at the same mall I met Jenn at.... and yeah. The rest is history.
JI: Do you and Jeni_s talk much about YT when offline together?
BF: Sometimes..... ok, a lot. There's just so many jokes we can make.... and so much stuff that happens that reminds us of things or people on here. We're kinda nerds, but it's fun.
JI: Where do you see yourself in ten years?
BF: Here's my dream scenario: I'll be living in a warmer state, somewhere like North Carolina. I'll be working in marketing for a non-profit organization. I'll have one daughter, and working on another, and I'll still be silly in love with Jon. AND... just for fun, I'll be personal friends with Hanson.
JI: Are the Wisconsin winters just too much to take year after year?
BF: Yes. The past few days it's been about -30 to -40 with windchill... it's absolutely ridiculous. I want to live somewhere that I can wear a sweatshirt in the dead of winter and be warm.
JI: What's the best way to spend a weekend?
BF: When it's actually nice outside, I love to be out somewhere. This summer we found a few parks we didn't know existed, I took a road-trip with friends... just something that's not in the house.
When it's yucky out, I like to find a good book and curl up on the couch and read. I could read for days on end.
JI: What's the best thing you've read lately for pleasure?
BF: The last thing I read was the Twilight series... it was really good until the end. The end was just so.... anti-climactic. They talk up this epic battle this supposed to happen, and then NOTHING. Before that I read "You Suck" by one of my favorite authors Christopher Moore. It's about some vampires... and oh my, it was hilarious. I love every book he's ever written.
JI: Outside of getting married, what are you most looking forward to in 09?
BF: The new President for sure. I really look forward to seeing if he will be able to live up to all of our hopes. Also, in March or April I'm going to see RENT in Chicago... pretty excited about that!
JI: At what age did you start to form your current political views?
BF: I actually started to pay attention to politics when I was about 17. I turned 18 just in time to vote for the 2004 election. I think I've always had the same feelings on the issues, though.
JI: What's the most important issue facing college students as a whole these days?
BF: I think it would be where the money is going to come from to pay for school. With costs rising, and a lot of scholarships disappearing, it's hard for a lot of students to find the money.
JI: What's a hidden talent of yours that few on YT know about?
BF: I can wiggle my ear. It's pretty awesome. I've even got a video on youtube!
JI: What's your most prized possession and why?
BF: Aside from my engagement ring, I would have to say letters and cards from my great grandma. She died when I was around 11 years old... but it's nice to be able to read her old letters in birthday cards and stuff. My mom is also giving me an old handkerchief that she used, and then my grandma had at her wedding, then my mom did, and now I will. I don't have it yet, but that will probably top the list when I do.
JI: What does family mean to you?
BF: Family means EVERYTHING to me. Honestly, if I don't talk to my mom on the phone every day I feel like something has been off all day. When I moved to Madison, which is about 2 hours from where I grew up, I was driving home usually twice a week if not more because I was so homesick for my mom and brother. It's kinda sick.
JI: What do your family members think of your fiance?
BF: They love him! He and my brother play video games together all the time. And my mom has called him her son-in-law 2 months after we started dating.
JI: Do you ever get involved in the video game showdowns?
BF: Only if it's guitar hero or mario kart. I really don't like most video games.
JI: Let's say you get to meet up with any three YTers anywhere you want. Where is it, and who is there?
BF: I would say... immortal_1 (because he is my YT BFF), pinkbottle (Because she likes Hanson), and Jeni_S (I know I know her IRL, but she'd HAVE to be there)
And we'd be at a concert of some sort. In the VIP section.
JI: If Buddy decided to sell YT to you for a dollar, what would be the first thing you'd change?
BF: I'd make myself Queen Mod and change the YT logo to a Hanson symbol.... and, because I'm ridiculously awesome, I'd raise the price of a key to $40, and give half the money to some charity.
Or, according to my fiance, "Not much, you'd break it within the first 5 seconds trying to re-code it".
JI: Any final words of wisdom to share with your fellow YTers?
BF: Hold onto the ones who really care, because in the end they'll be the only ones there.
