Funniest Comments of the Week

In a News thread about a Muslim woman denied citizenship in France:
MightyRhinox: Fair enough, it's their country.
newtownninja: Whose country? Last I heard nobody "owned" the country of France.
Floor Demon: The Netherlands kind of did in Euro 2008.

In a thread about McCain and Obama making their first joint campaign appearance at a mega-church :
Amlya516: I'm a bit irked by this... first forum together at a megachurch, asked questions only by a pastor? I guess they can choose how they want to do it but seriously... it's scary.
Cowdung: What's so scary about it?
Abzurd: It might turn into a biblical quizshow?
S916Dave: As opposed to NBC, CBS, or ABC turning it into the Gong Show?

Q: Can you tell whether or not someone is a virgin just by looking at them?:
emitchell: Sometimes I can tell. Like if they're giving birth, or being born. But usually at times like those I'm not thinking about things like that.

Discussing the mating habits of the Praying Mantis in a random facts thread:
Ongooshk: That's gotta suck for the mantis. Can you imagine the conversation the first praying mantis had with God? "And so basically, you copulate with the female, more praying manti." "Brilliant, excellent, sounds good to me" "Just one last thing..."

In the thread where emitchell thanks people for welcoming him back:
holly_bolly: I can't imagine how YT would have been like when the 9/11 attacks happened.
w8in: I think S916Dave blamed it on the liberals right away and rufio said that terrorism was way better in the earlier days.

Joke of the Week

Detergent Dog

A boy went to a super market, and the clerk noticed he was buying detergent, so she asked him," You have some laundry to do son?"

And the boy answered, "No, I have to wash my dog."

Clerk: "But son, detergent can kill the dog! Are you sure?"

Boy: "Yes, I'm sure."

So the clerk sold him the detergent, and off the boy went. The next week he was back, so the clerk asked him, "How's your dog, son?"

Boy: "Oh he died."

Not wanting to be an I-told-you-so the clerk said: "I'm so sorry, was it the detergent that killed him?"

Boy: "No, I think it was the rinse cycle!"

JoeInterview's Member Feature

This week's interview features CameronVance. This interview was conducted by travbowman.

JoeInterview: First off, how did you find YT?

CameronVance: Well my cousin (Rik_Khaos) told me about it. I joined almost 6 years ago and didn't really become active til about a year ago.

JI: What would you say is the biggest reason you keep coming back for more?

CV: Well I could take the easy route and say boredom, but it's more than that. Personally I've always enjoyed group interactions whether it be in a setting with a few friends or thousands on YT. I like a big audience I guess you could say.

JI: Do you and Rik talk much about YT in real life?

CV: Sometimes, normally just to talk about our next podcast or to make a reference on a user to make each other laugh. If we talked about it any more we would get looked at funny, although that happens a lot anyways.

JI: What's the best thing about working at a hotel/casino?

CV: Well my favorite is getting to meet all sorts of different people. I've met huge gamblers, 100 year old ladies who have been coming to the hotel for decades and celebrities of which I would have never met.

JI: Do some name-dropping for us. What kind of celebrities have been there?

CV: Ha. Well umm The Doobie Brothers, The Guess Who, Ron White, Lorreta Lynn, Jerry Lee Lewis, Kenny Rogers, and Michael Bolton. Mr. Bolton was not very friendly. The Doobie Brothers took me to lunch and The guess who gave me 100 bucks just to hang out with them.

JI: "Mr Bolton was not very friendly" Did you call him a no-talent ass-clown?

CV: Not to his face, I really should have. The hotel mantra for that weekend was 'Michael Bolton is a cry baby bitch. He was awful. Nothing was good enough for that man.

JI: You obviously just needed a little time, love, and tenderness.

CV: No not at all. He needed to get off his damn high horse and go back to 1993 when people gave a damn. I'm sorry I blacked out there. Where were we?

JI: What's the best part about being a Hoosier?

CV: Well that's a hard question for me. I am born and raised in Indiana but I grew up so close to Chicago that I never really associated myself with Indiana. But really the best part of Indiana is it's truly the cross roads of America. We have about 30 different accents all in the same state. We have state parks and pro sports. We have some of the best corn in the world and Indiana is home to 11 casinos. Indiana is not so boring really. I think it gets a bad rap.

JI: What's your favourite thing about Chicago?

CV: The man in me says the sports. The fat kid in me says the food. But the "me" in me says the skyline. I grew up on the beach in Northwest Indiana. Every day at sunset you could see the skyline. The skyline of the city to me is like the most iconic image of my childhood, I'll never forget it. The skyline made its way to my name tag in college durring student government. It meant that much to me. And because of that skyline on my name tag, I met my wife.

JI: Sounds like an interesting story. How did you two meet based on a nametag?

CV: We were in the same student government meeting, she had seen me a few weeks before but thought I was on drugs. Anywho she saw my name tag and thought it was interesting. She sat with me and we talked for a few, and the rest they say is history.

JI: Will the Bears ever solve their QB problems?

CV: Oh man you really know how to strike a nerve. I am a die hard bears fan. To me no one on thier roster right now is the right QB for them. Now I'm not one to claim extreme football knowledge powers, but I'd say the right man for the job is a gentleman who enjoys cheese and wears a number 4 on his back.

JI: Do you think the Packers would ever let Favre go to an in division rival?

CV: Probably not. To be honest I'm sure he will suit up for the Pack on opening day. He is a legend in Green Bay, I mean if they trade him or cut him the city may burn to the ground.

JI: What's been your favourite podcast topic to date?

CV: Well any time we can tell a story of our childhood is good for me. For whatever reason people find us funny. We've got about 1000 stories left to tell some of which are more or less special in thier own little way.

JI: What would be your dream job?

CV: Oh man this is gonna get some laughs...I have always wanted to be David Letterman. Even as a little kid I dreamed of what it would be like to walk out of the curtain with that music playing, come out to an applause and start my monologue. *sigh* maybe one day I'll get there, but for now my current job is fine. And if it doesn't work out maybe towel boy for the Chicago Bears.

JI: Let's say you get the talk show gig. Who's the first celebrity you want to interview?

CV: I think I'd like to talk with George Clooney. To me, he is the benchmark of the cool Hollywood guy. And if I were single, richer, and better looking, I think I'd try to be like Clooney. Maybe if I interview him, he will ask me to join his posse. If clooney isn't available I'll interview Buddy, he is right up there with Clooney.

JI: What was the high school version of Cam like?

CV: Very different, I was really in to straight edge lifestyle and punk music. I wasn't as outgoing as I am now. Now I'm the polar opposite, I'm very outgoing. I'm also a metro sexual. Back in high school I would wear the same jeans and hoodie all the time. Now I care so much about how I look, I get 40 dollar hair cuts and buy 60 dollar ties. It's kinda sickening really, but hey I wanna look good.

JI: You get to meet any three YTers anywhere you want. Who's there, and where are you hanging out?

CV: Well first off we are in a bar. Bottom line, no questions asked. With me at the bar are Amyla516, Ehfahq, and Tamahau. I choose Amy because she is one of the ones I remember from the first days i was around YT.

Ehfahq , because we could talk wrestling. And Tama because we seem to share the same interest in wanting to look good.

JI: What's your drink of choice when you go to a bar?

CV: Coke and whatever the strongest whiskey thay have around. I'm not a beer drinker by any means, so I usually go for mixed drinks, mojitos are good too.

JI: Who is the greatest WWE wrestler of all time?

CV: Hulk Hogan. I know it seems cliche' but without him so many of us in our late twenties would have never watched wrestling as kids. What's scary is watching his life and kids run out of control these days. I'm also a huge Ric Flair fan, but that's more of an obsession really.

JI: Since you're the metrosexual now, who has had the best look over the years as they entered the ring?

CV: Ric Flair. The man always had the best cut suits and the finest leather shoes, all handmade of course. Lots of people had style, Rick Rude, The Rock, but Flair had the class and the attitude that tied it all together. WOOOOOOOOOOO!

JI: What are you most looking forward to about your upcoming trip to Key West?

CV: To be the guest for once. My wife and I both work in hospitality and sometimes it wears you thin, speaking with guests all day and night about how bad their stay was or how awful the food was. We just want to be on the other end for once. But now with our experiences in the field we will surely have a different view on the kind of work that people in the hospitality industry do on a day to day basis.

JI: If you get bad service though, will you make sure to let someone know?

CV: Hell yes! I'm gonna try to throw around some insider terms to get free stuff. I ain't no dummy, ha. I'll have some sympathy for them, but I'll still be mad. I plan on brining my business cards with me. I figure I'll be the guest from hell then leave the card at the desk when I check out. And if anyone reads this and wants my card just ask.

JI: What's a secret about Rik_khaos that most YTers don't know about?

CV: In his spare time he dresses as Captain Planet and visits sick kids in hospitals. It's wierd because he shows up and talks to them about how awesome he is, hoping it will make them feel better.

Actually Rik really throws it all out there and hardly keeps any secrets, I guess one would be he once threatned the life of a President in a chat room, thus causing my old school web tv to shut down. It was weird.

JI: Any final words of wisdom to share with your fellow YTers?

CV: Just remember this is all in fun, come here to listen and to be listened to. But for God's sake, don't roll up in here and act like you are the second coming. Just have fun, and listen to our podcast.

I Don't Know Why, but I Know it's Bad
Excerpt: Western society, of which we are a part, prides itself on its logic and rationality. We constantly hear the praises of our logical philosophers, our secular nations and our triumphs in the analytical and impassive fields of science.
