seriously, how many signs do we have to post? i work in an animal adoption center. we have signs posted on ALL of the cages (which happen to mostly contain cats... hence the subject line) that say "DO NOT TOUCH THE ANIMALS, OR OPEN THE CAGES." people walk right up to these signs, push them to the side and stick their hands in the cages. wtf? do they not speaka da english?? so i'm forced to say "we do ask that you don't touch the animals, please. thanks!" when what i really want to say is "get your f*cking hands out of the cage and learn to read, dick cheese!" my favorite responses that i regularly get are: • i know. (if you KNOW then why are you DOING IT?!) • but, i didn't touch the cat. it touched me. (yeah, back up then, a-hole. they're animals and they don't know better... you should!) • fine, i'll just leave then. (GOOD!) and the best one of all... • you should have a sign telling people t

• it's not my fault debbie was unreliable • it's not my fault my boss waited so long to fire her • i'm not going to stay in a sucky job just because my leaving inconveniences my boss • i'm not sorry that this forces him to have to actually do his job for a change • he'll get over it and as a lovely parting gift, what do i get? probably a case of ringworm. i broke out the black light earlier and sure enough... clyde's got ringworm. now all his bedding has to be thrown out and his cage has to be bleached. trouble is, i've played with him a bit over the last few days. i wish i had a vat of lotrimin i could soak in. this journal is boring. you're probably sorry you read it.

i`m literally crying right now. - Mood:Overwhelmed

i had been registered for the may 2006 graduation at my university because i had planned to have my final course finished by then, but i hadn't managed to do that so i was planning to graduate in august instead. i still hadn't changed my graduation date though so when i received my diploma in the mail on saturday i found it incredibly amusing and figured my university had just made a huge mistake. so i started looking up all the information i possibly could on their website to figure out what had happened. as it turns out, someone audited my degree plan without my knowledge and applied a force on one of my transferred courses from when i was attending the university of houston. that course then satisfied the remaining 3 hour requirement of philosophy that i was under the impression i still lacked. so it was NOT a mistake that my diploma was mailed to me, i DON'T lack 3 hours of philosophy and i AM... FINALLY A COLLEGE GRADUATE!!
